This show was a true
highlight in experiences for Nau-Zee-auN. Although the behind the scenes
was the toughest job you'll ever love, assisting Genesis P-Orridge during
his glambient set was an indescribable pleasure.
For the people who
came out to Hell Lab 3, more than one person has described the event on
the whole as the best show they've ever experienced. All of the performers
from beginning to end put on stellar sets and the environment within the
audience was indescribably fun, a bit dangerous and consistently sureal.
Thanks to everyone
who made this night so unforgetable.

- Interference
- Codec (cancelled)
This was probably the best Nau-Zee-auN show
to date. Great enthusiastic audience. Josh Calvi swallowed a nail worth
of sparks. Must give biased credit to Ukuphambana. His set was improoved
significantly since the DHR Don't F**k With U.S. release party where he
debuted the new setup. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Chris's Ukuphambana
performances.

2000 (9PM sharp) -
NAU-ZEE-AUN plays a noize set at Pü
Pü at the
VILLA VICTORIA along with Jocoloca, John Voigt,
Trista Beard and raDio Pü Pü. Scatology and old
churches mix well. Hosted by Open Faucet. Pü
Pü Radio was hilarious. John Voigt also stood out
with his beatnik jazz poetry stand up bass playing
performance.

Saturday October 21, 2000 -
NAU-ZEE-AUN splatters
Providence RI at the AS220's infamous
am*be*thang
with GASR, Basque, Carrier 81
and Serotonin. An
As220 kicking show. GASR was unfortunately cut
off early, but other than that a good night. I think
set up was under an hour. Performance appears
to have blown away everyone and was what I
intended Nau-Zee-auN to become in the beginning.
Here's some pictures you can click
on taken by
Dan Voknine. More to come soon.

Tuesday night October 17, 2000
at 8PM - NAU-ZEE-AUN
plays with radio waves along side CODEC,
and
TerrEtroN at WMLN 91.5 FM's Direct Current with DJ
WARDANCE.
Friday night October 13, 2000
- NAU-ZEE-AUN plays a
surprise performance in Lowell Massachusetts at WJUL's
High Voltage Circumcision Show. Limited studio audience
included the members of TerrEtroN,
Grenadier,
Ukuphambana, and Positively Revolting. Set up time was
approximately 3 hours for the beta test of a new set up.
Massive technical difficulties where expected and all
expectations where met and surpassed. Despite it all the
performance was reviewed as excellent by audience
members.
A NEW
NAU-ZEE-AUN EMERGES FROM THE TEST TUBE 10-13-2000
September 6, 2000 - NAU-ZEE-AUN
takes San Francisco
with Filthmilk,
Imperial Floral Assault Unit and The Soapbox
at the Carnival
Ad Nauseam. The night started out with an
open mic of Catastrophe
Orchestra style noise as a
drummer, guitarists, players of various devices gave a wall
of cacophony for possibly an hour. Then The Soapbox took
the stage with some nice idm'ish ambient improv. Filthmilk
was next in a set similar to past Zero Times Infinity shows
using a heavily amplified shopping cart full of springs and
pickups and several guys on electronics the frontman
banged out a simple beat through most of the show wearing
a smiling pig mask. For a moment the show was joined by
the energetic screams of a girl calling herself the
Chupacabra who I later found out was a former member of
Another Dead Sharron (see Greg
Greg, Lost Earth Lock,
and Negative Time for related projects). Nau-Zee-auN
took
the stage next in the only solo performance of the night
giving a wall of oscillating feedback and piercing noise.
Crowd reaction was very positive. Imperial Floral Assault
Unit closed out the night with a set worthy of DVOA
or the
Pink Dots. A great line up all around. Only one annoyed
was the guy who worked the door in the early evening that
had nothing to do with the show other than lying to people
who where interested in the night and saying the show
wasn't happening. Thanks to Al for booking such a fine
night.
March 22, 2000 - DJ NAU-ZEE-AUN
spins an early surprise
set at TAB. TAB is a brand new drum and bass night in
Nashua happening in the Chinese restaraunt in front of
Margarita's on Canal St. Although great potential for an all
night event exists, Nau-Zee-auN's 10PM appearance during
an atrociously rainy night not surprisingly was met only by
a local drunk bitching about not playing any good music
while falling over his own feet. When pressed to be specific
about what 'good music' consisted of, Tone Loc's Wild Thing
was referenced. The connoisseur of pop canker sores was
further disappointed when the 12 year old 1 hit wonder's track
was not spun during the set. The set was also partially
crippled by getting the bearings of the new venue's old
equipment. Other notes from the night. Hearing the
restaraunt owner bitch about not wasting electricity. Not a
high point in history of Nau-Zee-auN, but at least someone
was annoyed.
February 12, 2000 - NAU-ZEE-AUN
@ the VOIX
with some of the best sets to date by America's Greatest
Living Noise Artist Emil Beaulieau, America's strangest
noise weirdo Crank Sturgeon (with Gaylord Pasternack and
another new collaborator), and Can't (words fail me for how
amazing she was). I left when I started hearing overly
recognizable beats from one of the DJ's but had a great time
up till then. Maria did a great job organizing this night.
Started late but beyond that was fun and eclectic.
How does anyone follow Crank Sturgeon? That mutant
fish is a fucking genius. Dedicated to HOT RODNEY.
October 30, 1999 - NAU-ZEE-AUN
@ the
cYBER-mASSIVE fESTIVAL with The Haters, Hecate,
Christoff Frigeli, Praxis, Datacide, OJAMOJ, Zipper Spy,
America’s Greatest Living Noise Artist Emil Beaulieau, The
Syndicate, Soundlab - Cultural Alchemy, Zhark, Bombdogs,
Ben Fear, Homewrecker Foundation, Saturnalia, and many
more. More details and a rant on the old site.
July 31, 1999 - NAU-ZEE-AUN
does a surprise
performances at a RRRecords with a special collaboration
with SKIN CRIME known only as ZERO CRIME. No scrap
metal was used however the amplified shaving segment of
MORNING SICKNESS (the name of this performance) did
cause accidental destruction of the electric razor's blades
when they caught on the wire screen of the microphone.
July 9, 1999 - NAU-ZEE-AUN vs..
ZipperSpy on air at
WJUL. (many other DJ collaborations have occurred since
between Zipperspy and Nau-Zee-auN that are unreported).
June 5, 1999 - NAU-ZEE-AUN does
2 surprise
performances at a noise show at the VOIX
featuring lots of
artists like KK Null, Zipper Spy, etc etc (see Zero
Times
Infinity's History Page for more details
on who else played).
NZN's first set was on a DJ mixer, 2 fucked up turntables
and no microphones, no effects, no tables or chairs. The
amplified mix of cactus sounds, piano tunings and locked
grooves mixed by NAU-ZEE-AUN while kneeling before the
turntable alter set the pace for this set. Bored with that,
NZN next jumped on 55 gallon drums and piano guts inviting
anyone who felt like it to jump in. This wound up gaining a
collaboration from 2000 Joe Browns a.k.a. Plastic Razor
Protector.
May 9, 1999 - NAU-ZEE-AUN makes
a cameo
appearance with the pioneers of elektro-bunny-kore
LIV`ESEXACT at the Middle East Downstairs.
Sometimes described as Marilyn Manson meets
the Spice Girls, this will be a show unlike any
you've seen. All this in just one of many performances
that have come out of electronic music programs at Harvard, MIT, Brandies,
and the steam tunnels and fallout shelters of Lowell. Bouncers where reported
to have their hands ready to grab Nau-Zee-auN off the stage due to the
sparks, but they hesitated due the the powertools.
April 30, 1999 - NAU-ZEE-AUN
stains the VOIX
in
Lowell.
February 19, 1999 - NAU-ZEE-AUN
plays surprise
painful performance at the Spy Room. Sprained
ankle and anti-spark management nearly stop the show.
January 16, 1999 - NAU-ZEE-AUN
teams up
with HEX and ENNUI in the DJ Troop
ZERO BY ZERO at Portland Maine's 'Smashing
Dub Spies Rave' (see Zero Times Infinity's Future Page).
December 17, 1998 - NAU-ZEE-AUN
conducts
it's first performance as an experimental
DJ show at the Spy Room (a.k.a. Smithwicks)
in downtown Lowell, MA. Randoph Williams III
tags off on the mix. Maria Moran hosts the night.
1995 - NAU-ZEE-AUN is born and
aborted
with the songs "Pierced Goats Dance" and
"Wheel Of Torture" both of which appear on
a Third Wheel Media sampler cassette.
